As the only child seat rental service on the island, we offer the BeSafe iZi Modular i-Size, a rear-facing car seat suitable for children from approximately 6 months to 4 years old - ensuring you don't have to compromise on your child's safety during your vacation.

Car Seat Rental: How to Rent Your Car Seat for a Mallorca Vacation 

Pickup and Return of Your Car Seat in Mallorca

1. You will pick up the baby car seat or your car seat upon your arrival at the airport.
2. 2. Your child will be safely transported in the rental car during your Mallorca vacation.
3. On your departure day, you will return the car seat at the airport.

The handover of the rental item(s) takes place on the day of pickup in Mallorca directly at the airport. During the high season, we kindly ask you to arrive for the pickup of the seat approximately 60 minutes after your arrival at the café near the Express Parking on the arrivals level in front of the parking garage. In the pre-season and off-season, we generally schedule the handover about 30 minutes after the actual landing. Please turn on your phone after landing. Pickup or Return of Your Rental Seat(s) at Your Car Rental Company Outside the Airport

Our rental prices are based on pickup and return of the rental seat(s) at Palma de Mallorca Airport.

We are happy to offer you alternative meeting points with our staff on-site to make reaching your holiday destination as convenient as possible. Our primary focus is the safety of your child and your travel comfort.

If you wish to arrange pickup or return of your rental seat(s) at your car rental company outside the airport, you can book this directly when placing your order or later after selecting your car rental provider. Please use the following link:

For each transportation trip required for the pickup or return of your rental seat(s), we charge €10.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

1. Where can I pick up my car seat?

You can pick up your rental car seat directly at Palma de Mallorca Airport. The meeting point is the café at the Express Parking area on the arrivals level in front of the parking garage. You can get there directly from Exit C of the arrival terminal.

2. Is the ISOFIX base station included in the rental?

Yes. We rent both the iZi Go Modular i-Size baby seat and the iZi Modular i-Size car seat, each including the base station. Additionally, each car seat comes with a protective cover.

3. Do I need to install the car seat in my rental vehicle myself?

Our staff will hand over the car seat to you. For insurance reasons, you will need to install it in your rental car yourself.

4. Do the car seats fit in every rental vehicle?

The BeSafe iZi Go Modular i-Size infant carrier can be secured either with the ISOFIX base station or with the vehicle's 3-point seatbelt. This means that the carrier can be easily installed in nearly any vehicle.

The BeSafe iZi Modular i-Size car seat must exclusively be secured with ISOFIX and cannot be installed with the vehicle's 3-point seatbelt. In general, rental vehicles in Mallorca are new enough to be equipped with ISOFIX anchors. If you have any doubts, please check explicitly with your car rental company to confirm that your rental car is equipped with ISOFIX.

We also offer the BeSafe iZi Flex Fix i-Size booster seat. This seat does not have a weight limit but, according to i-Size regulations, requires a minimum height of 100 cm and a maximum height of 150 cm. This seat can be secured either exclusively with the 3-point seatbelt or in combination with ISOFIX in the vehicle.

The BeSafe Stretch is a secure car seat suitable for children up to 36 kg. It is installed using the vehicle’s 3-point seatbelt and additional anchoring straps. The seat can only be used in a rear-facing position.

5. Is a deposit required?

Yes, we charge a deposit of €200 per car seat, which, like the rental fee, must be paid to our account no later than 2 weeks before your arrival. The deposit will be refunded to you after the car seat is returned in proper condition.

Tip: Use the prepayment option if you want to book your car seat well in advance. This way, you don’t have to pay the deposit immediately but can do so at a later time (but please ensure it is done within the deadline!)

6. Is there a discount if I book multiple car seats?

If you book more than one child seat for your Mallorca holiday at the same time, you will receive a €20 discount on the final total. To do this, enter the voucher code SIBLINGS in your shopping cart and tick the box next to it. Please contact us in advance of your booking if you would like to rent 3 or more child seats at the same time.

7. How can we ensure that the car seats are accident-free?

All of our seats are inspected for damage and functionality both before handover and after return. Additionally, our customers are required to inform us immediately if the car seat has been involved in an accident. We will replace these seats at no cost to you, keeping the barrier to reporting accident damage as low as possible.

8. Can I extend the rental period spontaneously?

In principle, it is possible to extend the booking period on short notice. Please contact us by email at info@travelkids.de at least two days before the end of your rental period. We will then check if an extension is possible for the period you desire. Since this depends on availability, we cannot guarantee that an extension will always be possible.

9. Why do you need my flight number, flight times, and mobile number?

We need your arrival and departure times and your mobile number to organize a smooth and efficient handover and return at the airport. Additionally, to allow our staff on-site to respond to any delays or changes in flight times, we also require your exact flight numbers.
