Handing Over

The handover of the rental items takes place on the day of pickup at the airport in Mallorca, Gran Canaria, or Fuerteventura.

The renter is required to provide the exact flight number and flight times (including any changes) and their mobile number to the rental company for the planning of pickup/drop-off.

The return of the rental items must be done on the last day of the booking period.

The rental fee for the child seat(s) is €15.00 for bookings of up to 7 days, €14.00 for bookings of up to 14 days, and €13.00 per day for bookings of 15 days or more. If one or more additional seats are booked during the same booking period, the rental fee will be reduced by €20.00 once using the code "SIBLINGS". The rental fee is billed and paid before pickup as part of the booking process.

 

Deposit

A deposit of €200.00 per child seat is required. The deposit must be paid before the child seat is handed over. If the "Prepayment" option is chosen, the rental company has the right to withdraw if the renter delays payment. If the full payment is not received by one working day before the rental period begins, the rental company will charge the renter 70% of the total rental price.

The deposit will be refunded within 14 days after return. The renter must provide the necessary bank details to the rental company in writing at the time of booking or, at the latest, at the time of return, along with the booking number, to info@travelkids.de.

 

Extension

An extension of the agreed rental period can only be granted if the renter requests it at least 2 days before the return date. There is no right to extend the rental period, as it is subject to current availability on-site.

 

Late Return

In case of late return of the rental items, a usage fee of €15.00 per item will be charged for each started day.

 

Damage to Rental Items

The renter is aware that any traffic accident may cause damage to the child seat, making it unsafe. This also applies to cases where the seat or base station falls or is damaged in any other way. The renter must immediately inform the rental company of any damage to the rental item(s) resulting from a traffic accident or fall. The rental company will cover the costs of replacement. In the case of a car accident, the seat should also be included in the police report if possible.

From the handover to the proper return of the rental item(s), the renter is responsible for any damage to the item(s) caused by them, except for the situations described above; this also applies in the case of loss. The renter must return the child seat(s) in the same condition as received, subject to normal wear and tear.

The renter guarantees that the rented child seat(s) will not come into contact with animals. The renter also guarantees that the child seat(s) will not be stored in places where smoking occurs. If the renter exposes the child seat(s) to animals or cigarette smoke, they must pay a flat cleaning fee of €50.00 per item to the rental company. This also applies to heavy contamination beyond normal use. The rental company is entitled to offset the costs incurred against the deposit within 14 days after the return of the child seat(s).

 

Cancellation of Booking

A cancellation of the booking can be made free of charge up to 7 days before the handover of the rental items in writing by the renter. For cancellations made less than 7 days before the handover, the rental company will charge a cancellation fee of 50% of the total rental price.

The rental company can also cancel the booking for operational reasons.

Pickup and Return of the Child Seat at the Airport

You will pick up your desired child seat directly upon your arrival at the designated pickup location. (Please note: On Mallorca, we also offer the option to book a different pickup/return location for the rental seat. More details are provided below.)

The handover of the rental item(s) takes place on the day of pickup at the location noted below. We look forward to meeting you for the seat pickup approximately 60 minutes after your arrival during the high season. During the pre- and off-season, we generally expect the handover to occur around 30 minutes after the actual landing time.

Please turn on your phone after landing. You can reach our on-site staff at the designated number for pickup.
